Abstract: The term of competitiveness has different meanings and uses in various areas. The concept of competitiveness is used in the technological field, in the consumer goods market, in the international trade. By its characteristics, competitiveness is generated and analysed at microeconomic level. This paper aims to analyse the competitiveness of Romanian foreign trade with products at European level and to establish the place in the European hierarchy.
