Abstract:
The problems faced by urban areas in Romania are numerous and extremely complex. Thus, on the one hand, we can talk about external problems resulting from the processes of economic globalization, the increase of the discrepancies between regions and territories, as well as the pressures exerted by the phenomena of international migration. On the other hand, we can not neglect the internal problems caused by the regionalization-decentralization process, the persistence of the economic and social imbalances, the deterioration of the living conditions, the destructuration and the decrease of the living standards, as well as the degradation of the environmental conditions.
