Differences and Similarities in Organizational Change Management and Neuroleadership Theories: A literature review

Abstract: In management studies, the topic of change management has attracted significant attention. There are many examples that demonstrate its importance in organizational development and improving work outcomes. It is also important to note that change is an ever-present aspect of organizational functioning, and organizations must continuously modify and transform themselves in order to remain competitive. Despite the fact that change is a fact of life in today's business world, there is a high likelihood of change projects failing, requiring effective change management for competitive advantage. As a result of the volatility of the environment, the dynamics of demographic change, the interplay between management and employees, and the continuing expectations of leaders to deliver results, it is vital to explore new ideas and initiatives for effective change management. Using findings from the neurosciences, neuroleadership examines how the brain interprets change management. Neuroleadership is a significant scientific approach that can contribute to the development and application of theory and practice in a wide range of leadership disciplines, including leadership development and change management. In this review, the aim was to explore the similarities and differences between the theories of change management and neuroleadership.
