Abstract:
The article is written in the current context of the energy crisis triggered by the geopolitical conflict but also by the need for sustainability translated into sustainable development objectives assumed at European level through the Green Deal Pact and the sustainable development agreements with 2030 and 2050 horizon. The objectives of the study are to determine a regional dynamic model of energy efficiency based on the results disseminated in the literature on this topic. The methods used consist of descriptive analytical research of energy sector indicators at European level with the application of the linear regression method to determine the regional dynamic energy efficiency model. The results of the study consist in determining the regional character of energy efficiency and identifying the factors influencing the achievement of this objective at European level by studying the differences at the level of six Member States considered to be representative in terms of their respective levels of economic development, Germany, France, Austria, Greece, Bulgaria and Romania. The results of the study are useful for energy policy makers in reorienting energy development strategies in the current context of the energy crisis.
