A Note on the Measurement of Unfair Inequality in Brazil

Erik Figueiredo

Economics Bulletin, 2011, vol. 31, issue 4, 2944-2951

Abstract: This paper measures unfair inequality in Brazil using the "responsibility-sensitive" fairness principle. The results show that the levels of fairness in Brazil did not decrease as much as the income concentration levels for the period.
