Abstract:
In this work we will try to estimate the market power and interconnection costs with the Lerner index on the interconnection market. Our work will focus on the hypothesis "Balanced Calling Pattern" to estimate the price elasticity of demand for interconnection. The results show that operators of mobile telephony by competing in Cournot, practice market power. From the year 2009, there has been a convergence of interconnection rates towards costs. Paradoxically, however, interconnection costs increased rather than decreased.
