Cross-border labour mobility decisions: The effect of complementarities in local labour markets

Abstract: This article analyzes the effects of complementarities in local and foreign labour markets on cross-border mobility decision. The empirical analysis based on a French dataset compares labour mobility to Luxembourg and mobility to Switzerland. Econometric results conclude to large differences in determinants of cross-border mobility decisions whether the scale and the type of complementarities in local labour markets.
