Abstract: COVID-19 has led to the closure of schools and the retention of teachers at home. Entangled in this situation, these teachers have more overinvested in social networks to keep in touch. This particular circumstance served as a pretext for us to question the nature of the exchanges shared between teachers in their Facebook groups. In a qualitative approach, we have conducted interviews and observed traces of activity from two selected groups during the pandemic. The content analysis that we applied to these data indicates a strong socio-cultural connotation of the exchanges in the forums to the detriment of pedagogical, didactic and political knowledge. Ultimately, the article concludes that Facebook groups are being used more for entertainment than for educational purposes.
