Abstract: This study is based on the idea that coaching programs in education contribute to solving specific problems and ensure the academic and professional development of the actors involved. The traditional efforts to increase the quality of teachers' work have not always been effective, and this can change by accessing new forms of training and professional development. We aimed to find out the opinions of the students about the role of coaching in school and to formulate, based on these opinions, an answer to the question regarding the need to implement instructional coaching programs. The purpose of the research is to provide a conceptual basis by reporting on the results of the research on the topic and to know the perceptions of the future teachers regarding coaching programs, respectively the need to implement them in school. In this respect, we used an opinion poll followed by the interpretation of the answers obtained and then developed the conclusions of the research. We consider conceptual clarification necessary, given that coaching is not confused with management, leadership, mentoring or other correlative terms. On the other hand, we believe that this represents a new approach, which supports students, teachers and school principals in developing the skills necessary to achieve specific objectives.
