Some comments on k-tridiagonal matrices: Determinant, spectra, and inversion

Carlos M. da Fonseca and Fatih Yılmaz

Applied Mathematics and Computation, 2015, vol. 270, issue C, 644-647

Abstract: Recently, several papers emerged in the literature discussing the determinant, the spectrum, and the inverse of the so-called k-tridiagonal matrices. The aim of this comment is to provide a general, unified, and attractive approach to them, recalling some less known results.
