Applied Mathematics and Computation, 2016, vol. 280, issue C, 30-38

Abstract: Binary non-stationary four and five point subdivision schemes have been developed using hyperbolic B-spline basis functions. The proposed subdivision schemes generate pleasing curves near the control polygon as compared to the existing non-stationary subdivision schemes developed using trigonometric B-splines basis functions. The main speciality of the hyperbolic subdivision schemes is that they can regenerate hyperbolas and parabolas quite efficiently.
