Abstract: This paper investigates the time-varying formation problem for high-order multi-agent systems subject to external disturbances. The interaction topology among agents is assumed to be directed and has a directed spanning tree. A novel event-triggered integral sliding mode control strategy is proposed. It can be proved that, with the designed control law and the event-triggered condition, the desired time-varying formation will be reached. Moreover, the Zeno behavior of triggering time sequences can be avoided. Finally, a simulation example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.
