Ground state for the X-ray free electron laser Schrödinger equation with harmonic potential

Abstract:
We study the following X-ray free electron laser (XFEL) Schrödinger equation with harmonic potential(0.1)−Δu+(|x|2+β|x|)u+λ(|x|−1*|u|2)u=ωu+|u|p−1u,x∈R3,where p∈(1,2) and β,λ,ω∈R are parameters. By variational methods we prove the existence of ground states and normalized solutions for (0.1) under suitable assumptions on the parameters. In addition, numerical tests are performed to validate the theoretical results.
