Abstract: This work investigates the admissibility and dissipativity of descriptor systems with state delay. A novel asymmetric Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (LKF) is constructed to obtain delay-dependent conditions. According to strict linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), new criteria for admissibility and dissipativity are proposed. The main advantage of our method lies in that the removal of the positive definiteness of some symmetric matrices greatly reduces the conservatism. Three numerical examples are presented to verify the merits of our results.
