Applied Energy, 1982, vol. 11, issue 2, 165 pages

Abstract: The concentration characteristics of an inverted [`]vee'-type Fresnel lens have been studied. The variation in lens transmittance with groove position for different slope angles is represented graphically, showing a better transmittance at higher slope angles. The distribution of the local concentration ratio over the receiver plane has also been determined for different [`]vee'-type Fresnel lenses. The effects of transverse tracking errors and receiver defocusing errors on the lens' concentration characteristics have also been studied.
