Abstract:
An expression for the optimal thickness of insulation for maximum net savings (defined as the price of auxiliary energy saved minus the price of insulation) has been obtained. The optimal thicknesses and corresponding savings for popular insulations have been evaluated for Nicosia, Cyprus.
