Gas extraction--A new technique in the liquefaction of coal

D.F. Williams

Applied Energy, 1975, vol. 1, issue 3, 215-221

Abstract: The increase in oil prices since 1973 and the long-term prospect of a world-wide shortage of liquid hydrocarbons have lent greater urgency to research into the liquefaction and extraction of coal. A new approach to this problem makes use of the concept of extraction with supercritical gases.
