Abstract:
The pulsating-pressure filter provides a means for improving the effectiveness of the removal of fine particles from the exhausting combustion gases of a fluidised bed, even at relatively high temperatures. Its use would enable the resulting hot, cleaned gases from a coal-fired pfbc to be more suitable (e.g. less abrasive and corrosive) for entry to gas turbines.
