The contact resistance for a semi-infinite cylinder in a vacuum

R. D. Gibson

Applied Energy, 1976, vol. 2, issue 1, 57-65

Abstract: The flow of heat between solid bodies in contact is considered. An exact method of approach to the problem of a single idealised contact is given which involves the reduction of the mixed boundary value problem to a Fredholm integral equation. This integral equation is solved by a standard procedure. An expression for the thermal contact resistance is given.
