The UK natural-gas industry

Abstract:
The recent history of the British gas industry has been reviewed. The powerful, and sometimes ill-conceived, influences of the UK Treasury on the Government's energy policy do not always appear to be in the long-term energy interests of the UK. Present trends and implications for the future are outlined.
