Abstract:
In view of the complexity of integrated electricity and heat systems (IEHS) brought by the increased system size and uncertain renewable energy, an IEHS operation model that reconciles the conflicts between network modeling and uncertainty modeling in terms of tractability is proposed. Under the two-step decision mechanism used by the proposed model, accurate network modeling is prioritized first, and proper uncertainty modeling is accomplished subsequently. With this decomposition practice, the superposition of different complexities as well as the exponential growth of computation difficulties are avoided. To enable the two-step decision mechanism, second-order conic and linear power flow models are synthetically used, which also combines their complementary advantages in terms of global accuracy and local accuracy. Furthermore, based on the corresponding relations between uncertainty scenarios used in the two decision steps of the proposed model, multiple customized power flow models are used simultaneously for scenarios of different clusters to improve network modeling. Finally, the proposed model is tested through case studies about network modeling, uncertainty modeling and computation times.
