Abstract:
Despite the roots of the process plant contracting industry being based in energy supply, the industry has received limited attention in the energy literature. This paper sets out to remedy this omission by outlining the industry's function and mode of operation. It then goes on to describe the factors that contribute to its role in the construction of process plant for energy supply worldwide.
