Abstract:
A rational approach to the design of gas-fired finned tube heat exchangers is presented. As a result of an extensive literature search and a study of flue gas properties, novel equations have been developed to facilitate design procedures. Comparisons are made between the theoretical performance of a finned tube boiler and those determined experimentally.
