Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, 2022, vol. 156, issue C

Abstract: Multi-wave interaction is an important research field in nonlinear science. In this work, we investigate the multiple wave interaction properties to the Manakov system which can model the vector wave motions in stationary self-focusing electromagnetic systems with dual layers. Via the Darboux transformation method, we first obtain hybrid solutions containing rogue wave and breathers for the system. Furthermore, the evolutionary processes and interaction properties of the hybrid solutions are studied in details. The phase, amplitude, and propagating direction of the hybrid rogue wave and breathers may change during the interactions. These new results will lead to a greater understanding of this system.
