Stationary states and dynamic regimes for a nonlinear asymmetric trimer with gain and loss

Abstract:
The paper studies a model of three couplers with Kerr-type nonlinearity in an asymmetric form with gain and loss. Analytical solutions of nonlinear stationary states are constructed in the vicinity of the neutral stability parameters for the null solution. The stability of such states is investigated analytically. Families of nonlinear stationary states depending on the gain coefficient are built numerically. The study of stationary solutions has revealed the parameters of oscillating and quasi-periodic dynamic regimes, which turn out to be attractors for a wide variety of initial data. The investigated properties may be useful for creating optical processing devices.
