Abstract:
In present article, we have explored the orbit maintenance strategy around an artificial equilibrium point in the Sun–Jupiter system. Two control strategies, proportional control and proportional derivative control laws are discussed for orbit maintenance. The maximum Lyapunov exponent is used to check the chaotic behavior of planetary orbit. We anticipate that the recently established Lyapunov exponent criteria may be used to study motion of planets in generalized stellar binary systems. This research is being guided by the conclusions of recent observations as well as those that are expected from existing and upcoming planet search missions.
