Abstract:
The study investigates the dynamic survivability of dynamic networks on the basis of two-layer Erdös-Rényi random graph (ER) and Barabási-Albert scale-free (BA) networks with three interlayer coupling patterns. We consider the synchronization for the key mission to complete and attack edges both randomly and deliberately. The study provides a detailed analysis demonstrating that the dynamic survivability of two-layer networks is influenced by interlayer coupling schemes, resulting in either an increase or decrease compared to single-layer networks. Furthermore, we show the impact of network parameters and attack strategies on the dynamic survivability of two-layer networks, and highlighting the significance of intralayer links. The findings provide us new insights into the protection of complex network systems from collapse.
