Abstract: Owing to sharing information in open traffic cyber physical systems, cyber-attacks occur frequently, which will alter the lane change rate on two lanes in the connected vehicles environment. To investigate the cyber-attacks' influence on lane changing behavior on dual lanes for connected vehicles, we found a new dual-lane lattice model incorporating cyber-attacks on lane change rates concerning inflow and outflow. Also, the cyber-attacks' impact on traffic stability and kink-antikink solution is checked in terms of linear stable analysis and nonlinear analysis. Furthermore, the cyber-attacks on inflow deteriorate traffic stability and the cyber-attacks on outflow conversely enhance traffic stability according to simulation results concerning the density scatter plot, flux evolution and hysteresis loop. Finally, fuel consumption and pollutant emissions are significantly affected by cyber-attacks on lane change rates involving inflow and outflow under connected vehicles environment.
