Dual-channel coded event-triggered fuzzy adaptive control with unified prescribed performance for multi-agent systems

Abstract: This paper proposes a coded dual-channel event-triggered adaptive control framework with unified prescribed performance for uncertain nonlinear multi-agent systems. To reduce communication and computational loads, a dual-channel event-triggered mechanism is employed to update the control inputs and the adaptive laws simultaneously. To address stability issues caused by intermittent updates of the adaptive law, the adaptive law is decomposed into regular and event-induced components, and a novel robust compensation strategy is designed to mitigate the resulting effects. Moreover, considering that event-triggered communication may be vulnerable to data corruption, an extended binary Hamming coding scheme is introduced. This scheme enables single-bit error correction and double-bit error detection, thereby enhancing the reliability of control signal transmission. To achieve flexible prescribed performance, we construct a unified performance function based on rate functions and a series of functional transformations. Multiple performance specifications are guaranteed within a unified control structure by adjusting key parameters without requiring controller redesign or additional stability analysis. Fuzzy logic systems are employed to approximate unknown nonlinear dynamics. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.
