Variational approach to higher-order water-wave equations

Yue Wu

Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, 2007, vol. 32, issue 1, 195-198

Abstract: A family of variational principles is obtained for the high-order water-wave problem by the semi-inverse method proposed by Ji-Huan He. A new water-wave equation is deduced from the obtained variational principle.
