Abstract: The spatial clustering of the forest-fire sequence (1997–2003) of Liguria Region (Northern Italy) has been analysed using the correlation dimension DC, calculated by means of the correlation integral method. Studying the variations of this parameter, we recognize the presence of a strong variability of the spatial clusterization, modulated by seasonal cycles. Furthermore, we found that the larger fires (size >400ha) mark the cyclic behaviour of the correlation dimension.
