Additional aspects of the non-conservative Kolmogorov–Filippov fragmentation model

M. Ghorbel and T. Huillet

Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, 2007, vol. 33, issue 5, 1569-1583

Abstract: A particular instance of the Kolmogorov–Filippov fragmentation process in continuous times is revisited. Focus is on the non-conservative version of this model when both stable and unstable fragments coexist at all times. Asymptotic fragment size distributions are discussed using large-time behaviors of the partition functions of mass.
