Chaos, Solitons & Fractals, 2007, vol. 34, issue 4, 1030-1036

Abstract: We obtain general solutions of Maxwell equations in Einstein’s Universe, in terms of Jacobi polynomials. The corresponding contravariant components of the electromagnetic tensor allow us to compute the orthonormal electric and magnetic fields, the components of the Umov–Poynting vector, the energy density and the effective momentum. Finally, we deal with the TE modes in Einstein’s Universe and we derive the magnetic field components and the energy density, on each of the conducting spheres.
