Abstract:
A parallel block method of fourth order is developed for the numerical solution of the first order initial value problem (IVP). This method is suitable for implementation on Multiple Instruction Multiple Data (MIMD) machines, using any number of processors. The method is tested on several problems to demonstrate its accuracy and computational efficiency. Stability and local error of method is also studied.
