Abstract:
An externally triggered single transistor chaotic circuit is presented and its operation is simulated in order to reveal the presence of chaos. Time series analysis is performed following Grassberger and Procaccia’s method while correlation and minimum embedding dimension are, respectively, calculated. As shown, the distribution of the time intervals between successive transitions exhibits a frequency dependent power law. Moreover, this power law and the associated phase portraits indicate that the considered system crisis is accompanied by an intermittent behaviour of the corresponding orbits.
