Abstract:
An extended Jacobi elliptic function expansion method is proposed to construct abundant Jacobi elliptic function solutions to the KdV equation. When the modulus m→1 or m→0, corresponding solitary wave solutions and trigonometric function solutions are also obtained. The new method can be used to solve other nonlinear evolution equations.
