New exact shape changing solitary solutions of a generalized Hirota equation with nonlinear inhomogeneities

Abstract: The modified extended tanh-function method (METF) is employed to solve the generalized Hirota equation under the influence of a variety of nonlinear inhomogeneities. We obtain a series of exact solitary solutions and some of them exhibit shape changing property.
