Painlevé analysis and exact solutions for the Belousov–Zhabotinskii reaction–diffusion system

Abstract: A system of equations for description of the Belousov–Zhabotinskii chemical reaction is considered. The Painlevé analysis of this reaction–diffusion system is studied. Exact traveling wave solutions of the system for the Belousov–Zhabotinskii reaction are found. Periodic solutions expressed in terms of the Weierstrass elliptic function are also given.
