Abstract:
In this paper, we studied the existence, dynamics and switching of dark and bright spatial soliton in 1D array of coupled cavities above lasing threshold, driven by an external holding beam. Our results show that, this system supports various families of dark and bright solitons, even more they can co-exist simultaneously. A coherent Gaussian shaped control beam is used here to switch solitons on and off and to manipulate solitons. The effect of injection time, intensity and width of control beam is investigated to perform a successful switching. http://dx.doi.org/10.1364/AO.99.099999.
