Risk paradigm and risk evaluation of farmers cooperatives' technology innovation

Abstract: Technology innovation has become one of the most important factors for cooperatives to gain competitive advantage and to improve farmers' income. However, cooperatives must face huge risks of technology innovation. This paper discusses the risk paradigm of cooperatives' technology innovation from three dimensions of cooperatives' internal factors, technology factors and external environment factors. Then it determines the weight of each risk index with the integration of rough set and information entropy, and determines the risk coefficient with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Lastly it conducts risk evaluation for a specific innovation project by numerical examples.
