Human capital, matching and job satisfaction

Abstract: We offer an explanation of the negative tenure effect in empirical job satisfaction equations. If job satisfaction measures match quality, the explanation follows from specific human capital accumulation and how this affects workers’ reactions to outside job opportunities.
