Biological contribution to global climate dynamics on a “geological” timescale

Abstract:
A model consisting of two blocks (equation) is proposed for the analytical study of the “biosphere—climate” system over a great period of time. The first equation describes the balance of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and represents the biological block of the model. The second equation is the equation of energy balance or the physical block of the system. The model is based on the most general concepts of living matter and the evolution process. A possible interpretation of some events and phenomena in the Earth history is given in terms of the model.
