Abstract: This comment discusses the article “Sectoral Shocks, Reallocation, and Labor Market Policies” by Joaquin Garcia-Cabo, Anna Lipinska, and Gaston Navarro. The comment highlights issues that receive only little attention in the article or could be addressed in future research. It focuses on aspects that are relevant for policy makers in order to design effective policies which mitigate the effects of asymmetric recessions, but which also facilitate a smooth recovery.
