Abstract:
This paper constructs an alternative network DEA model that embodies the internal structure for supply chain performance evaluation. We take the perspective of organization mechanism to deal with the complex interactions in supply chain. Three different network DEA models are introduced under the concept of centralized, decentralized and mixed organization mechanisms, respectively. Efficiency analysis including the relationship between supply chain and divisions, and the relationship among the three different organization mechanisms are discussed. As a further extension, we investigate internal resource waste in supply chain.
