Coal in Asia and the Pacific: A regional overview

Toufiq A. Siddiqi

Energy, 1986, vol. 11, issue 11, 1049-1055

Abstract: The Asia-Pacific region covers some of the largest coal-producing and coal-using countries in the world. It also includes a number of countries where almost no use is made of this fuel. This paper reviews the coal resources, production and consumption in the region, and examines the factors that affect coal use in individual countries.
