Utilization of pulverized fly ash in the People's Republic of China

Minzeng Feng

Energy, 1986, vol. 11, issue 11, 1359-1362

Abstract: Pulverized fly ash (PFA) discharged from China's coal-fired power plants is used in two main ways. First, in the form of primary products with or without some crude pretreatment, PFA is used mainly in construction, civil and construction engineering, agriculture, and coal-mining. Second, the different constituents of PFA are separated and sorted to produce new raw materials with the goal of reducing production costs and improving the properties of particular products, thereby reaping greater profits.
