Reference potentials for the second-law performance of combustion processes

Abstract: The second-law performance of combustion processes for stoichiometric and fuel-lean mixtures is assessed. The effectiveness is defined in terms of exergies of reactants and products after obtaining reference potentials. A general expression is derived for CmHnOpSqNr.
