Selective separation of hydrogen sulfide by pressure-swing adsorption

O.A. Salman and A.I. Bishara

Energy, 1987, vol. 12, issue 12, 1275-1279

Abstract: A pressure-swing adsorption process using molecular sieves as adsorbents was tested for the effective separation of hydrogen (H2) from a gas stream containing 88 vol% of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and 12 vol% H2. Molecular sieve type Y (sodium ion) exhibited the highest dynamic capacity, adsorption efficiency and saturation time.
