An optimal algorithm for drilling strategy

Abdel-Latif A. Qahwash

Energy, 1987, vol. 12, issue 6, 423-425

Abstract: A mathematical model is constructed to determine the optimum drilling strategy once a geophysical anomaly has been detected and the decision to drill has been made. The model deals essentially with an orebody of massive structure in two dimensions. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the impact of parameters on optimal drilling depth.
