An incremental model for coal evaluation—II. Gasification

T.Y. Yan

Energy, 1988, vol. 13, issue 1, 57-61

Abstract: Values of a coal can vary greatly depending on its use. A model has been devised specifically to evaluate coals as feedstocks for gasification. In this method, incremental values are assigned to all quality parameters relevant to process economics. The incremental values are premium and discount of coal for variation in quality from which coal value as gasification feedstock can be calculated. The method is particularly useful in times of technical uncertainty.
